Missing man found alive in Labette County, Kansas

A man who had gone missing in Labette, County, Kansas was found alive on Saturday.

61-year-old Leroy “LB” Myers had been missing since March 14th when his vehicle was discovered abandoned.

Myers was reportedly found alive in a pile of brush in which he had taken refuge.

He was transported to Labette Health hospital in Parsons for evaluation.

Members of the Col Travis Hoover Composite Squadron of the Civil Air Patrol from Joplin, Mo. along with Kansas Wing, Civil Air Patrol and the Labette County Sheriffs Office and a large steam took part in the intense search.

Over 100 community volunteers spread out over the the Big Hill Lake area.

The search was aided by two CAP aircraft from Kansas Wing and several small unmanned aerial systems (drones).
