DWI accident in McDonald County injures man from Pineville

A motorcycle accident late Saturday night injured a man from McDonald County.

52-year-old Michael J. Nix was riding on Highway 90 six miles east of Jane at 11:51 Saturday night when his 2015 Harley Davidson traveled off the left side of the highway and overturned.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol accident report says Nix, who was not wearing a helmet, suffered moderate injuries but chose to seek his own medical treatment.

Nix was arrested by the Missouri State Highway Patrol for alleged Driving While Intoxicated and Failure to Drive on the Right Half of the Roadway.

He was taken to the McDonald County Jail and was later released.
