Suspect in homicide case spotted in McDonald County

On Wednesday evening, the McDonald County Sheriff’s Office Detectives responded to a residence on Route W, outside of Pineville, following up on a tip received in reference to a stolen generator.

While at the residence, Detectives received information that a male subject, identified as Scott Burleson, had fled the residence shortly before their arrival. Scott Burleson is currently a suspect in a homicide that occurred in Jasper County, Missouri.

Multiple attempts were made to locate Burleson, however Burleson was not found.

Burleson was last seen near Route W and East State Highway 76 junction wearing a red shirt and blue jeans.
