Carthage man injured in early morning accident

A man from Carthage swerved his 2024 Mack Truck around 6:48 this morning [Monday] to avoid a stopped car on U.S. 60, about eight miles west of Monett.

The Highway Patrol says 51-year-old Hunter Harvell's westbound truck traveled off the right side of the road and overcorrected.

He suffered minor injuries and was taken to Cox Monett Hospital in Springfield.
