Pittsburg cyclist leaves the roadway to avoid car south of Liberal

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says a woman from Pittsburg was injured just before 4 Friday afternoon when she drove her Harley Davidson motorcycle off the road to avoid an oncoming vehicle.

55-year-old Connie J. Shead was ejected from cycle on US-160 about four miles south of Liberal, Missouri.

Shead was wearing a helmet.

She was taken to Ascension Via Christi Hospital in Pittsburg with only minor injuries.
