Snow expected in Missouri Ozarks

Snowfall amounts will be highly variable depending where band tracks

A heavy snow band is expected to develop over the Missouri Ozarks late tonight into Monday.

A winter storm warning has been issued for 2 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, CST for much of the KZRG listening area in Missouri.

However, snowfall amounts will be highly variable, with several inches possible where the band tracks and little to no snowfall elsewhere.

The exact location of this heaviest band is still uncertain and may shift north or south depending on the exact track of the low.

This will have impacts on the forecast snow amounts, which may shift and increase/decrease with future forecasts.

If the heavy snow band can stay over the same location for several hours, then localized higher amounts will be possible.
