Teamsters threaten strike at Anheuser-Busch
The International Brotherhood of Teamsters that work at Anheuser-Busch are threatening a nationwide strike amid contract negotiations.
They want their demands met or they will stage a national walkout.
The Anheuser-Busch Teamsters want job protection, increased retirement benefits, and wage increases.
On December 16, five-thousand teamsters at the 12 breweries across the country voted by 99-percent to authorize a strike.
If the strike happens, beer production would stop.
Some media reports indicate that about 45-hundred people work for the St. Louis-based brewery in the region.
The current contract expires on February 29.
