AMP issues Scam Alert for area citizens

The Aurora and Marionville Police Departmen has issued a Scam Alert.

The Department says people have received calls supposedly from the department saying a warrant is active for a person’s arrest and to avoid arrest, the person needs to send them money.

The department says they never enforce warrants this way and the calls are a scam.

They remind you to never send money to anyone based on a phone call alone.
