Accident on U.S. 60 injures man from Neosho

An accident on U.S. 60, about 6 miles west of Neosho resulted in injuries to one man around 5:45 Tuesday evening.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said  an northbound vehicle driven by 39-year-old Brandon W. Waldrip of Neosho failed to stop at a stop sign, leading his car to be struck by an eastbound vehicle driven by 33-year-old Joseph Jaynar of Neosho.

Neither driver was injured.

56-year-old Roy D. Waters of Neosho, a passenger in the Waldrip vehicle, suffered serious injuries.

He was transported to a Joplin hospital.
