Rep. Cori Bush joins St. Louis area nursing home workers to rally for owed wages

ST. LOUIS – Workers of the former Northview Village Nursing home, Missouri Congresswoman Cori Bush, and community allies gathered and rallied for the wages owed to workers by Healthcare Accounting Services this morning (Monday, January 8th).

On Friday, December 15, the nursing home abruptly closed without notice and the owner, Healthcare Accounting Services, still owes workers their final paycheck for hours worked the week of December 8 as well as PTO accruals.

Healthcare Accounting Services indicated they were preparing payments on December 29th, but workers did not get paid.

Congresswoman Bush also read from a letter she is sending to DHSS Secretary Xavier Becerra calling for an investigation.
