Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office honors the service of retiring K9 Keo
Today, the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office is taking time to honor the service – and celebrate the retirement – of K9 Keo.
“K9 Keo, a Belgian Malinios, came to our agency from Guadalajara Mexico,” a social media post states.
“After successfully completing an extensive initial training program in Little Rock, Arkansas (along with his handler, Sergeant Chris Wren) K9 Keo has served our community valiantly for the past 7 years. During that time, K9 Keo has not only aided in fugitive apprehensions and the discovery of illegal narcotics, but also helped during anti-drug presentations at our area schools.”
The Sheriff’s office says, during his service with the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, K9 Keo has continued to train with Patriot K9’s and earned his certification from the North American Police Working Dog Association.
They ask everyone to join with them in congratulating K9 Keo on an honorable law enforcement career and wishing him well in his retirement at home with Sgt. Wren.
