Southeast Missouri farmers sue Tyson

In southeast Missouri a group of area chicken farmers are taking Tyson Foods to court, charging breach of contract, among other things.

That follows the closing of a processing plant in that area. The suit was filed in Stoddard, County Missouri.

The suit alleges that Tyson known it was going to shut down the chicken plant in Dexter all the way back in late 2021 but didn’t let farmers know about it.

The farmers say that let them continue to go into debt as they raised chickens for the poultry giant.
