Missouri Farm Bureau Supports Interstate 44 Expansion

While Missouri prepares to expand Interstate 70 from St. Louis to Kansas City, the Missouri Farm Bureau has begun campaigning for the expansion of I-44 as well. 

Farm Bureau president Garrett Hawkins says farmers and ranchers are concerned about the road that connects Joplin to St. Louis.

According to Hawkins:  “The stretch around Rolla, both going west as well as east, concerns about bottlenecks, traffic load, as well as condition of the road…for a number of our members complained when they're hauling cattle and trailers up and down the road.”
