Pickup truck crashes, overturns and burns on Peace Church Road; Driver killed

A crash on Peace Church Road, about a mile and a half north of Joplin late Thursday night has taken the life of a man from Wyandotte, Oklahoma.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash occurred around 11:46 p.m. when a southbound 2001 Chevy Blazer driven by 49-year-old John W. Lynch of Wyandotte ran off the roadway on a curve and struck a ditch.
The car then overturned, hit a fence and caught fire.
Lynch, who was not wearing a safety device, was pronounced dead at the scene by Deputy Coroner Austin Simpson.
