Two arrested in Neosho drug investigation

On Tuesday, the Newton County Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant at 417 S. Washington St. in Neosho.

The warrant stemmed from a 3-month-long investigation into the activities at that address.

During that period multiple drug arrests were made from vehicle stops on cars that had been at that location. A stolen vehicle had also been recovered that had left the residence.

At the time of the search warrant two white females, one 34 and one 24 years old, were taken into custody. Both reside at that address.

Both were arrested on active warrants.

More charges are pending as methamphetamine and paraphernalia were seized inside the residence. Attempts were made by the occupants to dispose of evidence.

The Neosho Police Department and Ozark Drug Task Force assisted with the investigation.
