Grove student arrested after allegedly making bomb threat

A Grove, Oklahoma, middle school student was taken into custody Tuesday after an alleged bomb threat made against the school.

Around 10:30am, Grove Public Schools made the Grove Police Department aware of a threat they had received that a pipe bomb had been placed somewhere in the Grove Middle School.

The school administration ordered an evacuation at the Middle School and the roads around the schools were blocked off. The Middle School was secured until the bomb squad from Tulsa could arrive.

At the same time, investigators developed a juvenile person of interest, and after a brief foot pursuit, the person of interest was arrested.

OHP’s Bomb Squad arrived on scene at the Middle School and conducted a search of the school with bomb sniffing K-9’s. It was determined there was no device inside the school. The school was deemed clear and school was resumed.
