Former Miami, Oklahoma teacher accused of having sex with underage former student

In northeast Oklahoma, warrant has been issued for the arrest of a man from Belton, Mo. who allegedly traveled from Missouri to Oklahoma to have sexual relations with a 14-year-old girl.

55-year-old Ronald Dale Sanders is a former Miami School District Teacher.

He's accused of traveling to the Welch area to have sex with an Native American teenager on tribal land according to a sealed federal criminal complaint.

The student is reportedly a former student of Sanders.

A warrant from Ottawa County is connected to a state charge of driving with a suspended license and transporting an open container that date to Oct. 14.

He failed to show up in court on Oct. 20 on those charges.
