Oklahoma Attorney General Gentner Drummond on Friday filed a lawsuit against the Oklahoma Statewide Virtual Charter School Board.
Drummond says the Board approved a contract with what would be first religious charter school in the nation.
In June of this year, the board approved the application of a school sponsored by the Catholic Archdiocese of Oklahoma City. At the time, Drummond said approval would be a violation of the state and federal constitution.
A contract for the St. Isidore of Seville Virtual Charter School was approved by the board earlier this month.
