Thursday afternoon accident involves three vehicles, one injured

A crash involving three vehicles on Highway 43 one mile north of Airport drive resulted in injuries to one driver Thursday afternoon.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when a northbound vehicle driven by 29-year-old Kody M. Kranz of Webb City stopped to make a left turn.

At that point a northbound pickup truck driven by 62-year-old Scott L. Stevens of Carl Junction, hit Kranz's vehicle from behind, pushing it into the path of a southbound pickup truck driven by 46-year-old Matthew L. Winder of Webb City.

Kranz suffered moderate injuries. He was taken by ambulance to a Joplin hospital.
