Missouri Department of Commerce and Insurance encourages residents to review their coverages

Do you have all the life insurance coverage you and your family need?

That’s what the Missouri Department of Commerce and Insurance is asking.

Research cited by the agency says nearly four out of ten families would face financial hardship within six months if the primary wage earner died, with one of five families facing financial hardship within one month of that person’s death.

Chlora Lindley-Myers is director of the Commerce and Insurance department.

She’s urging Missourians to make time to review their current life insurance policies to see if they have enough coverage to provide for their family’s needs in the event something happens.
