Two from Arkansas injured in Joplin motorcycle accident

Two Rogers, Ark. residents were injured in a motorcycle accident around 1 p.m. Friday afternoon in Joplin..

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when a northbound 2014 Indian Chieftain motorcycle operated by 79-year-old Thomas J. McDonald of Rogers traveled off the right side of Riverside Drive in Newton County, struck a culvert and overturned.

McDonald suffered moderate injuries as did his passenger, 78-year-old Sharon A. McDonald of Rogers.

They were transported to a Joplin hospital for treatment of their injuries.
