Council to consider airport measures Monday night

The Joplin City Council will meet Monday night.

Items on the agenda include  an emergency ordinance authorizing the acceptance of an agreement by and between the City of Joplin and Wolen, LLC, in the amount of $491,730  for the purchase and installation of upgraded Air Traffic Control Tower (ATCT) equipment at the Joplin Regional Airport

The measure will authorize the City Manager or his designee to execute this agreement by and on behalf of the City of Joplin.

The Council will also consider a measure authorizing the acceptance of an agreement by and between the City of Joplin and Crossland Construction, Inc., in the amount $7,945,239 for construction of the Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting/Snow Removal Equipment at the Joplin Regional Airport.

Council members will also hear a presentation on Joplin's Union Depot.

The meeting gets underway at 6 p.m. in Council Chambers at City Hall at 602 S. Main.
