Rock-a-thon underway at Joplin History and Mineral Museum

The Joplin Rock-a-Thon (Rock and Mineral Show)  continues at the Joplin History and Mineral Museum this weekend.

A variety of rocks, geodes and other items will be on display and hand-made jewelry will be up for sale.

The museum is located in at 504 S. Schifferdecker in Schifferdecker Park between the golf course and the swimming pool.

The Joplin History & Mineral Museum is committed to creating exhibitions that inspire diverse audiences to engage deeply with Joplin and its mining history.

The Rock and Mineral Show, which began on Friday, will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday.
