Friday afternoon accident injures woman from Carthage

A crash on Route D five miles west of Diamond at 12:10 p.m. on Friday resulted injuries to a woman from Carthage.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the wreck happened when a northbound 1996 Chrysler Town and Country driven by 74-year-old Carol J. Buntin of Carthage failed to yield and crashed into a westbound 2014 Ford F150 Raptor driven by 34-year-old Olivia L. Bury of Lees Summit, Missouri.

Buntin suffered moderate injuries and was transported to a Joplin hospital for treatment.
