A woman from Newton County has been arrested after a drug-related search warrant north of Seneca.

On Sunday, Newton County Deputies conducted two car stops that were associated with 3321 Kentucky Road. Deputies say this location has recently been associated with drug activity investigations and has been a "hang out for people with Felony warrants."

The two car stops resulted in one arrest for Driving While Suspended and one arrest for Possession of a Controlled Substance. The investigation from the two car stops resulted in a search warrant being obtained through the Newton County Court for the Kentucky Road address.

After serving the search warrant, Newton County Deputies were able to locate and seize 1 ½  ounces of methamphetamine.

They also located and seized several rifles that appeared to be fully automatic weapons. Seven rifle suppressors were also seized. Including the full auto weapons a total of 30 firearms were seized due to the narcotics in the residence.

The woman arrested at the home was identified as 43-year-old Sara Sue Clark. She was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Use of a Weapon. The investigation will continue.

Newton County Sheriff's Office also says it was connected with the investigation and indictment of Jason D. Gibson.
