Pierce City man arrested after kidnapping in Monett

A man from Pierce City, Missouri, has been arrested after an alleged attempted kidnapping in Monett Thursday morning.

Monett Police Officers tell Newstalk KZRG that they responded to a business in the 800 block of East Cleveland Avenue, where an 18-year-old woman told them that while at her workplace, the suspect was in a vehicle with a small child contacted her and attempted to kidnap her.

The victim fled to safety and contacted police, who were able to identify and arrest the suspect, 34-year-old Aaron Michael Fryer.

The small child was located at home safe with parent. There is no threat to the community.
