Crowder College benefits from major gift from late Neosho woman
Crowder College is receiving a major gift from a late Neosho woman.
Crowder president Dr. Katricia Pierson says the school’s Engineering Technology Department will be receiving $1.4 million from the Mitsie Renick Trust.
The funds will pay for an endowed faculty position, the first in Crowder’s history.
Renick left her entire estate to Crowder when she passed away in March at age 94.
The Richard and Mitsie Renick President’s Leadership Academy Leadership Academy benefits up to 20 students every year.
The Trust also will pay for a new press box at the Crowder Roughrider softball field.
