Weekend Amber Alerts result in kids being found

Two Amber Alerts in Missouri have ended positively over the past few days.

On Saturday, an alert was issued after a 5-year-old and 4-year-old boy were taken from their home in Polk County in west-central Missouri. 

The suspect is the biological father of one of the boys but not the other. 

Multiple media outlets report he threatened the boys’ mother and was attempting to take them to Iowa where he lived. 

Both boys are back home with their mother. 

On Friday, the State Highway Patrol issued an Amber Alert after a 1-year-old boy was kidnapped at gunpoint in the Bootheel’s Pemiscot County. 

The boy is back home and the suspect is in custody.
