Fireworks: Hazardous to people, pets and trashcans

Safety first!

One local resident decided to discard some extremely hot fireworks in the nearest trashcan.

The problem?

The trashcan was made of non-flame-retardant materials and, as the trashcan heated up, it proceeded to melt and semi-collapse.

The Missouri State Fire Marshall reminds everyone to think ahead when using fireworks to avoid injury to people, pets and damage to personal property.
