Pedestrian struck, killed near Springfield

A pedestrian was struck and killed about a mile southwest of Springfield Saturday night.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports 32-year-old Margaret M. Seise of Springfield was trying to cross West Sunshine Street when she was struck and killed by a Chevy Impala driven by 29-year-old Logan W. Stokes of Marionville.

It happened just before 9 p.m. Saturday.

Seise was taken to a Springfield hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
