Settlement announced with Opioid Treatment Drug Maker

Missouri’s Attorney General has announced a major settlement regarding opioid treatment.

42 U.S. states, including Missouri, have negotiated a nationwide $102.5 million settlement with the maker of the opioid treatment drug Suboxone.

In 2016, the states filed a complaint against Indivior Inc. for allegedly using illegal means to switch the Suboxone market from tablets to film while attempting to destroy the market for tablets.

The trial originally was scheduled for September 2023. Missouri will receive $1.8 million from the settlement.
