Two dead, another injured in Grand Lake area accidents

Two people were killed and another was injured so far on this Memorial Day weekend in the Grand Lake area of northeast Oklahoma.

A Grand River Dam Authority spokesman reportedly says 54-year-old Eric Peterson of Belton, Missouri died in a Friday all-terrain vehicle accident just below the Pensacola Dam.

Peterson died after the ATV he was riding off the road rolled over on him.

An 87-year-old Kansas resident is reported to have died after he fell while trying to get off a boat and onto the dock. No name yet released for that man.

Also a 5-year-old boy reportedly was hurt in the explosion of a boat Saturday night.

He was taken to a Tulsa hospital.
