Bourbon County authorities arrest alleged Washington child molester

An alleged child molester out of the state of Washington was arrested in southeast Kansas. Read the full press release from the Bourbon County Sheriff's Office below:
On 5/10/23, the Bourbon County Sheriff’s Office received a phone call from the US Marshall Service in reference to a Garrett Morrell, who was using the alias of DJ or Dustin Bradley. Morrell had active felony warrants out of the state of Washington since 2020 for 4 counts of Child Molestation in the First Degree.
On 5/11/23, the Bourbon County Sheriff’s Office were able to track down Morrell to a rural area of Bourbon County. Morrell fled from law enforcement and Bourbon County Deputies, with assistance from the Fort Scott Police Department, were able to get Morrell into custody after a short manhunt.
Morrell is currently awaiting extradition back to Pierce County, Washington.
