Carthage resident dies in Highway 96 accident

A fatality accident on Highway 96 in Lawrence County has taken the life of a man from Carthage.
It happened around 8:15 this morning on Highway 96 near Rescue.
The MO State Highway Patrol says a passenger car driven by 40-year-old Jose L. Uoa of Carthage crossed the centerline and hit a Peterbilt Tanker Tractor Trailer driven by 55-year-old Mitchell L. Harrison of Frontenac, Kansas.
Uoa was pronounced dead at the scene.
Harrison suffered moderate injuries.
