Joplin motorcycle accident victim dies from injuries

A man from Joplin has died from injuries he sustained after a driver reportedly failed to yield to him and his motorcycle Wednesday afternoon.

Joplin Police say 53-year-old Larry N. Bellamy was traveling north on Schifferdecker Avenue when an ice cream van made a left turn from 4th Street and collided with Bellamy and his Harley Davidson.

Bellamy passed away from his injuries Thursday.

The Joplin Major Crash Team is continuing their investigation and further details may be released as they become available.
