Neosho police seek assistance locating alleged felon

The Neosho Police Department and surrounding agencies are asking for the public’s help in locating a dangerous and wanted subject out of the Newton County area.

The subject, 38-year-old James Carol Hebert, is 5’8”, 170 lbs. He also has red hair and brown eyes and is suspected in numerous felony crimes including several stolen vehicles in the four-state area.

Police allege that Hebert has been involved in two recent high-speed pursuits where he fled from authorities in stolen vehicles and caused property damage during each pursuit.

Numerous charges are pending against Hebert and his apprehension is a high priority for law enforcement.
Attached are recent photographs of Hebert. It is believed he may have altered his appearance by shaving or coloring his hair.
