Fraternity brother charged in hazing case takes plea deal

A Mizzou frat brother has taken a plea deal in a hazing case.

Thomas Shultz of Chesterfield, MO, who pleaded guilty to a single misdemeanor count of supplying alcohol to a minor, took the plea deal on Monday.

He is one of several fraternity brothers charged in connection with a University of Missouri pledge’s alcohol poisoning at a party.

He was indicted last summer on felony hazing and evidence tampering charges in addition to the misdemeanor.

He was sentenced to a year of probation along with 30 days behind bars and 100 hours of community service.
