Carthage man arrested for forgery

A man from Carthage reportedly accused of counterfeiting and fraud by several dealers around the nation has been taken into custody in Carthage.

44-year-old Jeremy J.Tewell of Carthage was reportedly arrested earlier Thursday and charged with Forgery.

Earlier this year, according to the Numismatic Crime Information Center, several dealers reported an individual had attempted to sell photocopied examples of key Confederate States of America notes to dealers.

Carthage Police reportedly arrested Tewell at his home in that city.
