Driver killed in morning crash in Cedar County

A driver has died in a one-vehicle crash in Cedar County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says 55-year-old Clay Wheeler of Quincy, MO died on the crash on U.S. 54, three miles east of Cedar Springs this morning {Tuesday}.

The Patrol says the vehicle Wheeler was driving left the roadway, hit a fence, smashed into a tree and then overturned.

Wheeler later passed away at a hospital in El Dorado Springs.
