Skeletal remains identified in Delaware County

Delaware County, OK - Skeletal remains  found northeast of Jay, Oklahoma in Delaware County in February have been identified.

The Delaware County Sheriff's office says the remains are those of Chris Teel who was reported missing in January 2017 and was last seen in Jay.

His discovery has created more questions than answers surrounding his disappearance. The sheriff’s office has followed many leads in this case and had received its most recent lead on February 10th.

The remains were discovered on Feb. 12 by a person cutting wood in the area who  reported to the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office.

The cause of death is undetermined at this time and is still under investigation.
