Three injured in accident near Noel Saturday night

Three people were injured in an accident on Highway 90, about a mile and a half west of Noel just after 10 Saturday night.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the wreck occurred when a westbound vehicle driven by 21-year-old Carlos A. Vasquez-Torress of Noel crossed the centerline and struck an eastbound vehicle driven by 65-year-old Gary A. Gillming of Noel head-on.

The Torress vehicle then hit a westbound 1999 Oldsmobile Van driven by an unknown driver.

Gillming and occupant 65-year-old Virginia Gillming were seriously injured.

They were medflighted to Mercy Joplin.

Torres, who had moderate injuries, went to Freeman Hospital by private vehicle.
