KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) - Family members are questioning why Kansas City police didn't find a man's body in the cargo area of his own SVU until after they towed it to a Missouri police station earlier this month.
Police are defending how they handled the situation.
They say they didn't have a search warrant at the time the vehicle was towed on Jan. 17 and the dead man, Adam ``A.J.'' Blackstock Jr., hadn't been officially reported missing then.
Blackstock's family says they just wants answers about what happened to the 24-year-old.
The case is being investigated as a homicide.
