Parsons woman, baby killed in Labette County crash

A 30-year-old woman from Parsons, Kansas, and an infant are dead after a head-on crash in Labette County Monday night.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says it happened on Highway 400, about four miles west of Highway 59, around 8:30pm.

The Patrol report states that Valerie M. Montgomery's car crossed the center line and hit a pickup truck head-on.

Montgomery and a child listed as "0 years of age" were pronounced dead a short time later.

The driver of the truck suffered minor injuries. A passenger in that truck suffered serious injuries.
