Republic man killed in three vehicle accident in Springfield

A 72-year-old man from Republic, Missouri, has died after a three-vehicle accident Sunday morning in southwest Springfield.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says Donald Underwood‘s pickup truck was hit by a larger truck that had crossed the centerline of Highway 60 (James River Freeway).

Underwood was pronounced dead at the scene.

Five people in the larger truck, including three juveniles, suffered serious injuries.

A man in a third truck suffered minor injuries.
