City of Joplin releases “Listening Tour” results

The City of Joplin has released the results of the Joplin City Manager’s “Listening Tour.”

Respondents were asked five questions. They were:

• • What makes Joplin special?
  • What can Joplin do better?
  • What do you see as opportunities for Joplin?
  • What is the biggest threat facing our community?
  • What do you see for the future of Joplin in the next 5, 10, 15 years?

1,397 were received with 6,985 total answers.

With nearly 1,400 responses to his Listening Tour Survey, City Manager Nick Edwards offers his assessment of our citizens’ comments and what he’s “hearing” from our citizens in each of the five questions addressed. Graphics helps illustrate the various categories that resonate through the questions’ replies.
