Man from Afton, Oklahoma indicted for sexual abuse of a minor

A man from Afton, Oklahoma has been indicted as part of Federal Grand Jury indictments returned in December in the Northern District of Oklahoma.

United States Attorney Clint Johnson said 23-year-old Caleb Lee Giles, is charged with sexual abuse of a minor in Indian Country, Abusive Sexual Contact with a Minor in Indian Country and Coercion and Enticement of a Minor.

Giles is charged with perpetrating sex crimes against two minor victims from September 2020 to January 2022.

The FBI is the primary investigative agency for the case, which is being prosecuted by Assistant Attorney Nathan E. Michel.

The alleged violation must be proven in a court of law beyond a reasonable doubt to overcome a defendant's presumption of innocence.
