Two from Pittsburg arrested after early morning convenience store robbery

Two people from Pittsburg are in custody after a convenience store was robbed Friday morning. Read the full press release below:
At approximately 0440, hours on December 23, 2022, officers with the Pittsburg Police Department were conducting patrol activities observed a white male running down the alley in the area of Snak-Atak, 1101 E. 4th Street, and enter a waiting vehicle.
At the same time Dispatch received a call that the convenient store had just been robbed.
After a short pursuit, the male ran from the vehicle and attempted to hide under a house. The driver of the vehicle, later identified as 27-year-old Cheyenne McNaught, was detained.
Officers located the male, later identified as 29-year-old Benjamin Lewis, under a house in 1000 block of E 5th Street.
Both were taken into custody without further incident and transported to the Crawford County Jail. Lewis was booked in for Aggravated Robbery, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Obstruction of the Legal Process, and a no-bond warrant from the Kansas Department of Corrections for previous aggravated robbery charges. McNaught was booked in for Aggravated Robbery. McNaught is being held in lieu of $75,000 bond.
