Prison term given to Webb City man for fleeing police

A man from Webb City has been given two prison sentences for attempting to flee and ellude law enforcement in Cherokee County.

The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office says 39-year-old Larry Dustin Flowers received a 16 month sentence after pleading guilty to fleeing and attempting to elude law enforcement in April 2022 and another 40 month sentence after pleading guilty to fleeing and attempting to elude law enforcement and possessing methamphetamine in August, 2022.

The 16-month sentence and 40-month sentence are set to be served consecutively.

Flowers was prosecuted by the Cherokee County Attorney’s Office and is being held in the Cherokee County Jail pending transfer to the Kansas Department of Corrections.
