Crash claims life of 70-year-old Pittsburg man

A 70-year-old man from Pittsburg has died after a one vehicle crash in Crawford County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says the accident happened late Monday night on 220th road, just south of Pittsburg, when Robert Shaver went off the road and hit a concrete culvert and overturned into a field.

He was pronounced dead a short time later.
