The holiday shopping craze is here. 

Inflation and supply chain problems are expected to drive up the price of your holiday gifts and shipping them. 

Jie Li, an assistant professor of Marketing at Truman State University in Kirksville, says just because prices are higher does not mean your holiday spending needs to be.

As retailers contend with oversupply and the softening of consumer spending, Li cites Adobe Analytics as expecting record discounts this holiday season. 

Discounts on computers, electronics, and toys could hit all-time highs – between 22 to 32-percent.
